Looking Back on 2024: A Year of Growth, Gratitude, and New Beginnings

As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey this year has been. It’s been a year of challenges, growth, and so many accomplishments that I can’t wait to share with you.

Here’s a look back at what we achieved together in 2024:

• The Launch of From the Piney Woods: The second edition of my memoir, From the Piney Woods, debuted this year! With its enhanced content and polished narrative, the book now fully embodies my vision of sharing my story to inspire others. Each chapter begins with journal entries that offer a raw, unfiltered look at the emotions and reflections that shaped my journey.

• The Plus One Theory: This year, I laid the groundwork for my next book, The Plus One Theory, a concept born from the lessons of my life. The theory revolves around always doing your best—plus one—and has been the foundation of my personal and professional growth.

• New Adventures in Speaking: 2024 marked the beginning of my journey into public speaking! I’ve been fine-tuning my message for corporate professionals, small business owners, and community organizations, sharing the powerful themes of kindness, resilience, and personal growth from my books.

• The Podcast Launch: I’m thrilled to announce that The Plus One Theory Podcast will premiere in January 2025! This show will feature inspiring guests from heart-centered professions, sharing their experiences with kindness and its transformative impact. Stay tuned for our first episode!

• Incredible Support: None of this would have been possible without the support of my incredible readers, subscribers, and friends. Your encouragement has meant the world to me, and I’m so grateful for every review, email, and kind word.

Looking Ahead to 2025

The coming year holds so much promise, from continuing the From the Piney Woods series to completing The Plus One Theory book and growing the podcast. I’m also eager to meet more of you in person through book signings, speaking events, and maybe even some workshops!
